Important notice regarding your consumer rights:

The benefits BLACK+DECKER give in this manufacturer's guarantee policy ("Policy") are additional to any rights and remedies that you may have under local consumer protection laws or under another contract. Nothing in this policy limits or affects your legal rights.
The limited guarantee provided by us in this Policy is not intended to:
- change or exclude any rights under consumer law that cannot be lawfully changed or excluded; or
- limit or exclude any right you have against the person who sold the products to you if that person has breached their sales contract with you.
In particular, as a consumer, you legally benefit from a minimum two-year statutory guarantee of conformity from the seller as set out in local legislation governing the sale of consumer goods.

This Policy has the following sections:

Section 1: General guarantee terms and conditions for all BLACK+DECKER products
Section 2: Additional guarantee terms and conditions for BLACK+DECKER extended 5-year manufacturing guarantee
Section 3: Guarantee terms for licensed products

SECTION 1: GENERAL GUARANTEE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ALL BLACK+DECKER PRODUCTS

All terms and conditions set out in this Section 1 also apply to BLACK+DECKER products purchased under the extended 5 Year Manufacturing Guarantee as described below in Section 2.

BLACK+DECKER is confident of the quality of its products and offers a manufacturing guarantee for users of the product. This guarantee statement is in addition to, and in no way prejudices, your statutory rights.

1. General terms and conditions

1.1 If your BLACK+DECKER product becomes defective due to faulty materials or manufacturing defects, within 24 months from the date of purchase, BLACK+DECKER guarantees to replace all defective parts and/or repair products, without charge to you, to make sure of the minimum inconvenience to the customer. This guarantee applies to all BLACK+DECKER products, unless:

The defects have arisen as a result of fair wear and tear.
The product has not been used in accordance with any instructions provided.
The product has been used for trade, professional or hire purposes.
The product has been subject to misuse, neglect, excessive force, load or mechanical impact.
The product has sustained damage through foreign objects, substances, or accidents.
The product has been purchased as used or second hand.
Repairs to the product have been attempted by unauthorised persons.

1.2 This guarantee is not transferable. It is only available to the original BLACK+DECKER product user who purchased the product.

1.3 A product repair or replacement under this guarantee does not extend or renew the guarantee period. The 2 year guarantee period starts from the original purchase date and ends 24 months later.

2. Making a Guarantee Claim

2.1 To make a guarantee claim, contact your seller or check the location of your nearest BLACK+DECKER authorised repair agent at www.2helpU.com, during the guarantee period.

2.2. The BLACK+DECKER product must be returned to the seller or an authorised BLACK+DECKER repair agent with all parts complete, and with the original proof of purchase. Your product must display the UKCA or CE mark, as shown below:

3. Changes to Terms and Conditions

3.1 BLACK+DECKER reserves the right to review and amend its guarantee policies, periods and product eligibility from time to time.

3.2 The terms and conditions of the Policy applicable to your purchase will be those in place at the time of your purchase; we recommend you print and keep a copy of this Policy when purchasing a product for future reference.

SECTION 2: ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BLACK+DECKER 5 YEAR MANUFACTURING GUARANTEE

For select BLACK+DECKER products, the BLACK+DECKER manufacturing guarantee for your product set out at Section 1 above may be extended from 2 years to 5 years from the date of purchase, subject to the following additional terms and conditions. The guarantee is valid within Australia, Baltics, Bosnia-Herz, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates.

Please note that we may change the type of products for which this 5 Year Manufacturing Guarantee is applicable at any time in our sole discretion.

If we decide a product no longer benefits from the 5 Year Manufacturing Guarantee, we will still fulfil guarantee claims for that product and will honour the extended guarantee period provided that the product is already registered for the 5 Year Manufacturing Guarantee in accordance with the terms of this Policy . We recommend you print and keep a copy of this Policy when purchasing a product subject to the 5 Year Manufacturing Guarantee for future reference.

2. Registration of product

2.1 To benefit from this 5 Year Manufacturing Guarantee, the product must be registered by the original BLACK+DECKER product user within 4 weeks of purchase at www.blackanddecker.eu/5. (BLACK+DECKER Product user contact details, tool catalogue number and date code required). Upon registration, users will receive a registration certificate for the product, confirming it benefits from this 5 Year Manufacturing Guarantee, which can be printed or emailed to you for your records.

3. General terms and Conditions

3.1 All terms and conditions set out in Section 1 above apply equally to products purchased under the 5 Year Manufacturing Guarantee under this Section 2.

3.2 This guarantee is not transferable. It is only available to the original BLACK+DECKER product user who has purchased and registered the product as identified above.

3.3 A product repair or replacement under this guarantee does not extend or renew the guarantee period. The 5 year guarantee period starts from the original purchase date and ends 60 months later.

4. Making a Guarantee Claim

4.1 To make a guarantee claim, please follow the process set out under paragraph 2 (Making a Guarantee Claim) of Section 1 above.

4.2 In addition to your proof of purchase, you will need to provide a valid BLACK+DECKER European 5 year guarantee certificate to the seller or authorised agent to claim under the 5 Year Manufacturing Guarantee. This certificate will be provided to you when the product is registered online (as described at paragraph 2 above).

SECTION 3: MANUFACTURING GUARANTEE FOR LICENSED PRODUCTS

BLACK+DECKER has granted the following products to be manufactured and sold under licence with the stated manufacturing guarantees, under the same terms and conditions as the BLACK+DECKER 2 Year Manufacturing Guarantee set out at Section 1 above, for the following guarantee periods:

Electric Heaters and Electric Coolers: 2 years Manufacturing Guarantee
Small Domestic Appliances: 2 years Manufacturing Guarantee
Power Bars & Extension cords: 2 years Manufacturing Guarantee
Electric Pressure Washers: 1 year Manufacturing Guarantee
Electric Wet & Dry Vacuums: 1 year Manufacturing Guarantee
Electric Pumps: 1 years Manufacturing Guarantee
Garden Hand Tools: 1 years Manufacturing Guarantee

The guarantee for these licensed products is additional to any legal rights and remedies that you may have under local consumer protection laws or under another contract.
